Finding balance between the classic, elegant Plantation Style and the local and culturally rich colonial atmosphere of Puerto Rico, the design team was able to blend nature with luxury.  Nestled between lush rainforests and the serene ocean, creating tranquility within the guestroom, suites and villas was of the upmost importance to the team.  Seamlessly blending custom design furniture, luxurious linens and spacious marble bathrooms with the exotic natural surroundings, a new typology of modern luxury design was created.

As Senior Designer of the St. Regis Bahia Project (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico), Amanda Beethe was in charge of the SCHEMATIC DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT including the Concept, Interior Design, Purchasing & Procurement, FF&E Procurement, and Specification Packages. She oversaw the design of the Guest Rooms, Model Room, Reception ‘Plantation House’, Golf Club, and Spa.
